Those who do not remember comedy sketches are condemned to repeat them

The voiceover in the second made it sound like one of those wacky comedy trailer remixes, like "Shining".

Wow. Really?

They're actually doing that as a show?

I mean the premise is okay (though maybe somewhat "well duh") but god, that voiceover and the angst. I mean, dang. Ouch.

The Dead Zone isn't about a crimefighter whose contact with a scruffy misfit brings about a vision of an abducted blonde girl whom he rescues to the sounds of an acoustic power ballad.

That acoustic power ballad was Seal. And he is awesome.

Damn you, Urbaniak! Now I want high five based telepathy/psychometry.

Would low fives and fist bumps also trigger it?

I would say low fives would be the realm of the nega-high fiver.

No but grinds and humps would.

Sadly, there are precious few people who remember Acceptable TV.

I kind of miss Acceptable TV. Though it was always diminishing returns with that show.

Is that Alessandro Juliani in the 'credits to the High-Fiver' as a Magician?

Great. Now we all know that if a guy really had telepathic powers and was listening in on people's thoughts, he would not be solving crimes. Instead, he'd be hanging around outside the Playboy mansion, sitting in his car with some hand lotion and Kleenex.

There's no money in jacking off outside a permanent bikini party; THERE IS MONEY in solving murders by telepathically finding out where a 6 year old girl's parents dumped her body after Dad lost his temper and punched her down the stairs.

And with that money (and fame) you can be INSIDE the Playboy Mansion.

Also, insider trading and whathaveyou. Telepathy makes

Another shout-out for Acceptable TV! At most, you'd have to watch the same premise repeated 3 times, unlike SNL where there's no end to milking it.

Hopefully the show is better than the trailer. How big an influence do trailers have on a show's initial performance?

All these shows about telepathic people solving crimes are the most stupidly unimaginative thing in the world. The fact of the matter is, if telepathy really existed, these people would easily be ruling the world.
