News you can use
I was interviewed yesterday by Mr. John Del Signore of Gothamist (article to be posted in near future). In addition to my acting career, my blogging career was discussed at length. I should warn my possibly imaginary nemesis [info]josh_emery that his name came up more than once during the interview. Mr. Del Signore is a regular reader of Voucher Ankles and he displayed an impressive knowledge of l'affaire Josh. Mr. Emery has kept a low profile of late but now that a major international online media organization has deemed him worthy of attention hordes of competing journalists will likely follow suit. If Mr. Emery has ever thought about taking a long foreign vacation this might be the time to do it.

Had another pilot audition yesterday, this time for the role of a Washington D.C. insider type. Among my competition was a certain thespian who provides the voice of a certain Germanic supervillain on a certain late night cartoon series. May the best man win.

I don't think T. Ryder Smith officially hates James Urbaniak, but he totally hates James Urbaniak.

Heh. Just finished "Victor. Echo. November." again.

Zomg, I love the meta world of blogging. Does it feel weird to be interviewed about BLOGGING? For some reason that seems so bizarre.

Dude, I sent the reporter some images including the thing you photoshopped of me and myself sandwiching "Shane." (I credited it to your user name.) This could be a big step up for all of us.

Hey,
I had far too much time on my hands yesterday and as a result I spent half a day reading bits from your archive and the archives of many things you have linked to – you do like to be thorough with your references and source material, don’t you?
I just thought you might like to know a few of the things the day taught me:
- The world is a cold and bitter place.
- The above makes life funny as hell.
- People who were seven just as I was leaving high school are now about to be teenagers, they consider “Legally Blond 2” an “old movie” and all this means I might just be a grownup now.
- Peter Boyle died back in December and I totally didn’t know about it!
- Lasers and LED lights may well be two of the greatest inventions man has ever made, no matter what Boston has to say on the subject. (And forget sliced bread – I have a knife, I have hands, I can do the work myself)
- All the stories my college theater professors told me are true, and it’s probably a good idea I decided not to be a New York actor – Yeah, being a writer will involve faar less work and rejection, right? Yeeeaahhh….
- Your children are adorable.
- Doc Hammer should be bottled and sold at competitive prices to bored or uninteresting people.
- You rock and people should hire you more. (Though, I more or less knew that already.)

I am officially a fan of Voucher Ankles.

All I have ever asked -- and Mr. Urbaniak is quite aware of this -- is that I be given credit where credit is due. As long as my remarks in this online journal are given as written and not misprepresented, there should be no legal repercussions.

Well, the restaurant where there interview was conducted has wi-fi but I didn't have my laptop with me, so you are referred to rather than quoted directly. But if memory serves you come off in the best possible light.

Now that I am well removed from the situation, I can say with relative certainty that Verizon is not a good company to work for. I can also say with relative clarity that Verizon is not a good company to have as your phone service provider.

I will now take a moment to try to remember a positive experience I have had as a Verizon customer.

I have taken my moment. I cannot recall a positive experience as a Verizon customer. Wait. I suppose I could say that, for several months at a time, I have had uninterrupted phone service. That and, as far as I know, they have not sent around death squads to kill me or anyone else.

To Mr. Lizard:

I am unlikely to become involved in a "spam war," whatever that is (Wikipedia has no entry on the topic). I think the concept you're trying to grasp is a "flame war."

That, too, is unlikely to occur, as I refuse to enter a flame war with a drooling moron.
